High-performance sound insulation, heat insulation, and flame retardant materials
Polyimide foam refers to soft or hard porous materials with micro/meso or macroscopic sizes, primarily composed of polyimide resin. It exhibits characteristics such as low dielectric constant, excellent sound absorption and noise reduction, strong thermal insulation, inherent flame retardancy (low smoke generation, no dripping, no toxic gases), and radiation resistance. It can be used as dielectric materials, sound-absorbing and wave-transparent materials, thermal insulation and flame retardant materials, and radiation-resistant materials. Depending on the type of resin, it can be classified into thermosetting (cross-linked) PI foam and thermoplastic PI foam.
